Hey there people, Long time no write !

    Well I have to say that I have been neglect in my blogging. It has been many months and much has happened as I will now PEN to you, my readers;
     I have had a few customers that have tried my service back in the mid of March. One tried it and was all for it but his schedule really interfeared, {he was out of town a lot} and I guess he decided to go another route. For him I was doing a strict diet of low, low carbs, high veggie and protien as he was also consulting a nutritionist and weight trainer and was working on a goal of losing weight and building muscle mass. I was in contact with his nutritionist / trainer and spoke to her about the diet she wanted him to follow as he was progressing along his weight training and diet, she was able to send me his appointed diet and I could create his menu. I think in this situation, a service like mine is very valuable not only for ease of service and health benefits, but also for its cost effectiveness. I also can work with doctors whom have patients that need special diets. My service can also provide daily meals for people who are home bound.
     Well, April and May were slow months and not much was happening when at the beginning of June I received an e-mail from a female asking about my service for lunch and dinner for 3-4 days a week. So I e-mailed her back and did not hear from her but the next night this man called my phone and left a message as to the e-mail, so he left a number and I called him back. We made an appointment to meet the next day at 6pm. That was a Saturday and I was doing a catering job at a friends restaurant and so I prepared a few dishes that I would take over to my new potential client, I made stuffed fried eggplant parmesan with meat and ricotta, stuffed chicken breast with spinach and artichoke stuffing topped with fresh basil and mozzerella cheese, and chicken parmesan. Well, it was a big hit and they tried the eggplant even though at the time, He did not like eggplant. He loved eggplant that night and really love the rest of the food as well. They loved it so much, they hired me as there private chef and that night I found out he was THADDEUS YOUNG, center for the PHILIDELPHIA 76ERS and Shekinah his wife and his son, WOW!!, I was so happy and exited about this gig. It was only going to be for the time that he was here at home in Memphis and I saw this as a great opportunity to make a good name for myself and to meet the right people for future business. That was a Saturday and by Tuesday I was cooking for him, breakfast, lunch and dinner 5 days a week. I also did special parties, provided their sons birthday cake for his party and a bridal shower for her. They are a very kind and generous family and I met a good portion of them and all are very kind. I really enjoy working and cooking for them. This is a dream job for me. They leave the menu up to me and they are really easy to cook for. I like to do special requests for them but they were very few and far between. It was really cool to see and learn the inside stories in the sport of professional basketball.

THE PASSOVER IS HERE

I catered a passover dinner for about 80 people at a church and I think it went very well. I love when a kitchen is well equipped and clean. This church kitchen was both, and the lady helping me was so nice and helpful. I really enjoyed catering the food for this event as it was traditional jewish cuisine like Gefilte fish and Matzo ball soup. I am looking foward to doing many more caterings in the future. If you e-mail me I will give you a foolproof recipe method for making fluffy matzo balls.  My email is babramson1@comcast.net

Hello There !

Well I must say that this business is slow in starting, but that was expected. I have had a good customer for 5 weeks and then she put the service on hold for the past 2 weeks and I am hoping that they will call me again for their meals. I only heard good things from them and they really seemed to enjoy the food. I have been trying to get some publicity from the paper but that is slow in coming. I really need to meet the right people and try to get my one customer to put a sentence or two on my blog. I want to cook !!

1 month later !!

Well, it has been about a month since I've launched my new challenge and the process is getting easier. I have a good customer and I am working hard to please them and so far, so good. I am really looking foward to having a thriving business at this, and to continue to enjoy my love for cooking and baking.
Getting people to come to my site is more difficult than expected, I hope to get exposure by running some paper ads.

                                    Bye !

My first as a personal chef !!!

Well I did my first job on the 14th and it was a good experience. It took me much longer than planned, but that was expected. The kitchen is a dream kitchen with lots of space and it is fully equipped. The clients are very nice and they are a family of 5. There is definitly a learning curve to any new venture and even though I have been in this business most of my life, this is a different aspect of it and the first job was challenging not only as far as organization and execution but also the fact that I'm not as young as I used to be, it was a very long day and I felt it and I LOVED every minute of it !
